What REALLY happens behind the audition table?
I’m revealing all the secrets you didn’t learn in an exclusive Casting Q&A.
When: Sunday, September 7th @ 11:00am.
Where: Zoom
Why You Should Get In On This:
After 20+ years of performing, directing, choreographing, and running a theatre company, I asked a few actor friends of mine this question: Did they ever explain how casting works in your training?
The only answer I received was NO in capital letters.
This really got my anger going. Nothing has changed. The entertainment and theatre industry continue to keep the reality of casting a secret. One would think this isn’t a big deal but, I sincerely think otherwise.
A lack of knowledge about casting:
Sends actors into “I’m not talented enough” thinking.
Causes unnecessary nerves.
Encourages animosity and severe competition between actors.
Establishes a neglectful working environment.
Instills a complete misconception about the audition process.
Now I've been on both sides of the table for a very long time. I’ve seen actors plummet their self-esteem and self-worth because they merely didn’t get a part or the part they wanted.
This can be changed easily by simply letting actors and performers in on the casting process.
After my Casting Q&A you’ll learn:
How casting actually works.
What Directors are looking for.
Auditions have almost nothing to do with your quality of talent.
How to not take casting personally.
A new audition perspective for your own craft.
Is your anger going, too? Time for you to be in-the-know.
Sign on to the Casting Q&A on Sunday, September 7th. It’s free for anyone to hop on the call.
